  9.       Silicon Studio is a professional film and video production system based 
  10.     on Silicon Graphics workstations, specialized video options and 
  11.     third-party software solutions.  For years, SGI machines have been used 
  12.     to produce special effects for movies such as "Terminator 2", "The Abyss",
  13.     "Death Becomes Her", and "Jurassic Park".  Now the Silicon Graphics 
  14.     Silicon Studio environment provides similar benefits to all aspects of 
  15.     the film and video production process. 
  16.       Professional film and video producers are in the process of replacing 
  17.     single-purpose "black boxes" with multipurpose production systems.  As 
  18.     the premier multipurpose production environment, Silicon Studio 
  19.     provides these advantages over single-purpose solutions:

  21.     * Low-cost Production System.  Silicon Graphics' family of products 
  22.       provides the flexibility to create a film production system at a

  69.            take the frame documents and successfully create a single
  70.            PostScript document, so the next best thing is the 5 files
  71.            that together comprise the complete report.  Although not
  72.            *the* FINAL, completely-formalized report, this is a very
  73.            close-to-finalized draft, which, because of time 
  74.            constraints with the schedule of the Toolbox, is the best
  75.            we could provide at this time.  The following is taken from

  95.              Cosmo Compress(tm) is an option used in conjunction 
  96.              with Indy Video, Indigo^2 Video and Galileo Video.  It
  97.              provides compression and decompression of incoming and
  98.              outgoing video to the CCITT/ISO JPEG standard.

  101.              Sirius Video(tm) is a video option for SGI workstations
  102.              equipped with RealityEngine(tm), RealityEngine^2(tm) or
  103.              VTX graphics.  It fully integrates broadcast-quality
  104.              video with Silicon Graphcs supercomputer graphics 
  105.              capabilities.  Sirius Video may also be installed in
  106.              CHALLENGE(tm) servers and POWERSeries(tm) server
  107.              configurations, making its broadcast-quality video a
  108.              network resource.
